Hi.. sorry cant advise on a driving school but .. in my experience .. driving abroad is so much easier than you think. I was apprehensive for the first  mile but if anything found it easier than UK.

Thank you I suppose my husband and I will just have to try it. We have been told to start on a busy road and just go with the flow.

Your would do perfectly without. Get in your car at 4.30 am (not on weekends) and cruise through your area for an hour or so. You'll be surprised about how easy you get accostumed to the new driving sensations - keep right at roundabouts. Many happy returns.

Hi Maureen,

I lived here for a year before driving so got used to the roads. If I had realised there were driving schools about, I would certainly have had a couple of lessons. If you buy a car here it is very strange at first, the steering wheel being on the other side. The roads are a lot quieter than UK but the road markings and signs are few and far between. I think it is a great idea to give you confidence. If you Google the following schools you will see where they are.

Autoescuela Los Altos, and Autoescuela Alonso. The first one is quite near Villamartin. It won't hurt to ring and ask what they can offer. A learner car passed me the other day which prompted me to look where the schools are for you. Very best to you both.
