We have an apartment in Villamartin and we are planning to rent it out. Do you have any recommendations how it works for example with Marholidays? It seems to be quite expensive to use their services... I know that they use booking.com and expedia etc. and they charge of course. On the other hand it would be easy to have a company that handles everything.

I don't think there is a huge demand for rental properties. I know this as I always book for friends when they come out to see us and there is always lots of availability. Just saying be realistic about how many weeks a yr you will see it occupied

To do it legally you need a license from the council, have an energy efficiency certificate and landlord's insurance, and pay tax on the income.
