Spanish insurance for Spanish cars generally includes breakdown cover.
There may be insurers who will offer the same on a UK regged car but I'm afraid I can't help you on that one.

RACE offer breakdown cover, roadside assistance like RAC or AA in the UK. I paid €179 for annual cover.
Most Spanish insurers build an element of assistance into the policy but check the small print because its usually very basic and sometimes parts of it are only effective within a 60km radius of your home.
Jennifer Cunningham - offices on the Costa Blanca - did insure my UK reg car before I transferred it to Spanish plates, but I heard a rumour they are going to, or possibly already have, stopped insuring UK reg vehicles. Check with them maybe.

Hi Andrew, they did with mine and that's who my current policy is still with, a new policy after the importation. But someone in the insurance industry told me the other night that they are stopping insurance policies for UK reg vehicles. I actually doubt this as it would cost them continuity business. It could be pub talk and wrong, but it's worth the OP checking with either a broker or at one of the LS offices.
