What are rules regarding 80 day rule, someone I know has been here over 80 days, going home in April and say coming back in June, is this allowed. Thanks for all advice.

The rule is avisit of no more than 90 days in 180 day. So if you spend 90 day here in Spain you should go back to the UK for 90 days. The border police will soon pick up overstayed and could lead to a fine or a possible ban from entering the EU for a certain period.

If you wish to report someone for overstaying you need to contact the National Police in your area.

I would be leaving this to the Immigration/Border Force - why waste time getting yourself worked up about something that is outside of your control?

Hi,

perhaps like you they do not know the rules, you should tell them that overstaying is an offence, that's assuming they are not Irish or EU passport holders.

It is an adminstravie offence so I'd agree with George55 and leave it to the border force to handle (or not).

Rgds,

Aitch.

Why would you want to do that?

You can report it, but why would you do that. Just remember to report everything else. Speeding cars, people cycling on the pavement, others parked on a pedestrian crossing.

What happening on 27th march?? Are they changing rules again for UK xpats ,regards long stay, still not heard anything ,though it's been up for discussion again, guess will  wait and see,I think if us  uk citizian or other nationals buy, invest property in spain  and receive n.i.e number pay taxes in spain we should be allowed longer stay, makes sense, since invest into spain why should we be penalised ,coz I did not vote to come out of europe, being a remainer , invested heavily in spain, feel cheated we loosing out. Politics sucks😏
