Thanks for the advice because we hire quite a lot we buy a separate yearly policy to cover dents etc.  It’s only 40 pounds a year and well worth it.   Saves paying the companies excessive insurance when we book.

Dont know if this will help. We have a separate policy too. Do you think the separate policy is going to be 30 to 40pound if they are going to be faced with bills of 300euros a dent....no chance

Well that’s what we have paid and it was a company that had been recommended.  So far we have been lucky and not had any other charges but money saving expert advises to get the yearly policy too.  😀

But that's like saying you pay a couple of hundred a year for buildings insurance when you might have a claim for thousands in subsidence!!

As long as the policy covers what you need you should be covered - that's what is for

I agree but the car companies are always looking to make money and insurance companies wont lose money. Will need to wait and see how this pans out.

My friends paid 350euros for a teeny dent. We all rent cars 7 to 8 times a year. This is PER DENT. ???

Hi we usually use Autoclic unfortunately they are no longer in business.   We need to hire a car on several occasions over the next few months.   You hear of so many horror stories. If anyone can recommend a good company that they have used I would be very grateful.   Thanks

Can highly recommend ‘ Drivalia’ have hired several cars from them. No hidden charges and excellent service, always go for ‘ Ultimate package’
