No, not really. It is 2-4 km (depending on where in Villamartin you are).

Downhill to the beach. Uphill all the way back (some of it quite steep).

You have to cross a busy motorway and the N332. There are footbridges of course, but it is no fun at all.

We live in Villamartin and don't have a car and walk to the boulevard and the beach every week. It's a lovely walk and not dangerous at all.It takes us 40 mins to the boulevard and about an hour to La Zenia beach.

There is a local bus that goes to Cabo Roig beach all year round and during the months of July and August the same bus drops off right at the beach at Campoamor. The bus costs €1.50 each way.

You must be very excited with your plans of buying in Spain.  You say that you have mobility problems. Please think wisely before you buy anywhere. You should try to find a place on the level and that can be a challenge. You could give LA MATA consideration as it is on the coast, beautiful area, natural parklands, boardwalk along the beach , as it’s a Spanish town, there is a good health centre and all other amenities.La Mata is on the level and all properties are within walking distance to the big Sandy beach. Buses run into Torrevieja every 20 minutes. The N332 is on the far side of La Mata so you are well away from fast traffic so safe to walk to the beach. Closer to airport too. Lots of car parking available if driving. please don’t buy a house without visiting the area and weighing up the pros and cons.

Dont have any update on number of cases, but by all accounts on a downward trend.

Weather much better today, the last week has been horrendous, cold, windy & damp just had 4 days of rain.
