Hi I'm new to the forum, will be out for 15 days in June looking firstly  at areas, we are staying in Villa Martin  for 2nd time, a base for  a starting point, we cannot fully move right now but  the dilemma is do we buy  or long term rent  for the interim period  with family circumstances  Hubby likes Lago Jardin, not sure if it's a little to quiet?  we both like Villa Martin, have seen an apt, in Los Dolcis, hope it's still there to view when we get out  so any thoughts  about  this area  would be appreciated for starters.

Hi it all depends on your budget and type of property, we own a property in pau 8 which is a five min walk to the plaza it’s a quiet residential area. Some people want to be in walking distance to the plaza where others don’t mind driving. As I say it all depend what U are looking for but Villamartin is a good place to live if your Spanish isn’t that good

Hi thanks for the reply we stayed on Calle Aida last year in a ground floor apt. we are trying an upstairs one this time with the roof solarium  to get the feel  not to far from there, not sure if we would be able to get our moneys worth if we long term rent due to family commitments we do know some of the area  have stayed on Lago Jardin, La Florida, Cabo Roig  and Villa Martin, but as for buying a property on one of the urbanisations  is another ball game.

We  will be visiting a couple of places either side of Torrevieja this time do you know any good  estate agents,? and any tips would be appreciated i you can think of any.

Regards

Yvonne

Hi Yvonne

Our house is currently on the market with home espana as we are buying a new build, they seem pretty good ,

As for tips you are basically doing the right thing( trying out places to see if they are suitable etc) good luck in your search and your new life in the sun

Hi we used Solmar estates which are excellent if you want to look at properties on line since their maps are accurate. This is unusual for most agents and allows you to check out properties in street view. Paul is also easy to deal with.

I can highly recommend Zoe Doran as she relocated herself last year to Villa Martin

Her No is 034 637 16 33 62 and e mail is [email protected]

Zoe is very thorough, proactive and takes an honest approach.

I wish you well
