I want to Elche yesterday to do my fingerprints and the Lote number was 63 and mine is 82 so about 6 weeks.

I was given a paper to present at the police station when my card is ready for collection.

RESGARDO DE SOLICITUDE O RENOVACION DE TARJETA DE EXTRANJERO

As anyone been back to the uk and been allowed back in to Spain with this paper to collect their TIE card.

Thank you.

Hi rds1234,

We've seen mixed reports - you should be able to return to Spain with your "resguardo", although some people reported early in the New Year that airlines were denying them boarding without a green residency certificate or a TIE.

The Gov.UK website makes it clear that the Spanish authorities do accept the "resguardo" as adequate proof and that the list of acceptable  documentation has also been communicated to airlines and other operators.  I've attached a copy of the relevant extract, which you can read in full at this link:

https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/spain/entry-requirements#additional

If you're considering international travel before you collect your TIE, I'd recommend carrying a copy of this information with you, in case you're challenged.

Kind regards,

Kim
