Trying to register on the Padron

Having seen the headlines in the Costa Blanca People, we decided to use the online system to register on the Padron, after all according to the article, it would and I quote " facilitate and speed up the process allowing people to avoid any long queues"
I tried twice to access the website on different days, not a chance of getting on the system, so we went to the townhall on Friday where it took the receptionist 45mins of phaffing around with a system which is clearly not fit for purpose to book us an appointment for Monday 2nd July.
I looked at the date on CBP, thinking this be some April's fools joke, but no just another example of a computer system " rushed" out without being fully tested, had it been it would have been apparent that the system was not ready and could not cope, when even the staff can't access the system something is wrong & needs sorting out.
