Hello All, I have all but completed the the various requirements to retire in Denia but have hit on a snag which I can't see a way around. The Spanish authorities require I pass their driving test. I've been working hard on the theory and feel confident that I'll pass. The practical l understand is conducted in Spanish so I don't stand a chance of success. Has anyone any advice to give which might lift my spirits or is it the death of a dream?

Hi, we want to rent in January and February, either in Els Poblets, Denia or Javea.  What is Els Poblets like in the Winter please, as we are concerned it might be a bit too quiet?  We live in the quiet countryside in Suffolk, UK, and want a contrast when in Spain.  Denia and Javea seem to be a bit busier, but there are more appealing rental  houses with gardens in Els Poblets.  

We are 59 and 61 and will be bringing our dog with us.  Current interests: we're both learning to play bridge, and to play the ukulele and melodeon, also trying to learn Spanish.  Also like walking, swimming, cycling and going to the gym.  I've had one knee replacement and am waiting for the other to be done, so the walking and cycling are a bit restricted at the moment.  I love needlecrafts and textile art, but will only be able to bring a limited amount of supplies with me.  My husband loves sailing, but won't be bringing the boat!!

Good morning, looking for an occasional dog sitter for a small well behaved (and very cute) dog.

I arrive in Denia by car on 8th October to drop off a couple of  heavier possessions and to see friends. Have discovered that now we are out of the Brexit transition period I will be required to take the Spanish driving test once settled here with the non-lucrative visa. I estimate that I'll be here sometime next year early in March.

Has anyone out there done this and if so how difficult did they find the process. Any advice would be gratefully received.

Good morning, anyone know of a reliable Taxi firm who can take us from Els Poblets this Saturday 7pm to El Cids returning 11pm. TIA

I'm finally coming back to Els Poblets after a year. Can somebody recommend a local facility to take a PCR test necessary before my eventual return to UK.
