Just got to our new house in the hills and have cleared out all of the furniture and need someone with a van to come and collect and take to the skip.

Does anyone know of anyone who does this in the Gaianes area and how much they charge?

Please can anyone advise on when and how I should here about paying for water? The contract has been transferred into our names following buying our house but then I have heard nothing more. I’ve have asked our estate agent but don’t get an answer there either. Also does anyone know how much the tax is each year for the house and the refuse collection please? I know it’s due in August but again unsure how I get the bill and where to pay.

I have just bought a casita in the hills of Gaianes.

Location it’s set in gets lots of direct sunlight so want to either have a small solar power system that could provide energy for a fridge and small electronic devices and potentially a couple of small electronic bikes.

I have watched lots of videos on solar power generators that are all-in-ones like the Inergy K2 and Goal Zero Yeti, but can’t seem to get these delivered to Europe as think they all come from the States.

Has anyone had luck getting one delivered to the Costa Blanca and if so are they any good?

Open to doing one DIY, but wonder if I’ll be able to get all the components either delivered or from shops once I’m in Spain (lithium ion batteries, converter, sine wave inverter, solar charge controller and poly or  monocrystalline solar panels).

Also open to have small installation done by a professional company, but not sure if any reliable and good value companies that do this in the Costa Blanca area and Gaianes more particularly?

If anyone is living an offgrid solar power lifestyle themselves out here be great if you have any advice for me?

Does anyone know how good network reception and internet service is in Gaianes?

I am on Vodaphone on my mobile and can tether and get service without data roaming charges but am not sure how good the network and 4G will be in the hills of Gaianes.

Are there any other networks that people suggest in this area?

I have bought a property in Gaianes which isn’t in the centre of town but a little further up in the hills.

Just wondering if post can be delivered to an address like mine or if I’ll need to pick up in town or somewhere else?

And willing i need to register for the service?

I am buying a property in Gaianes and have no connection to electric so will need to install a good solar power system. I have looked at doing this myself but don’t understand it all that well and wondered if there are any nearby companies that sell and install these systems and how much they cost?

I am in the process of buying a property in Gaianes but have recently seen that neighbouring properties are also for sale, just wondered if there was any publicly known reason why people are selling up in this area?

For example if there is a plan for building develop or some type of law that has been effected which is an issue for property owners.
