My wife and I are looking at moving to Tarbena.

Could anyone please give us any information regarding the area.

We wondered if there were many other English people living there.

Also, could anyone please advise me on the best way to get from Alicante airport to Tarbena, as we don't have a car. 

Any information on Tarbena people my like to share with us, we would be most grateful received.

Hi all, just a general query on rebuilding a property.

I've looked for clear information and haven't found the answers I'm looking for ... can an individual interact with the townhall architect directly re planning proposals and permissions or must all communication go through a client architect?

I know that on completion of building works an architect / engineer is necessary to issue certificates but I'm planning on managing the majority of the building work myself and feel getting to present directly may help with refinement of proposals.

What’s it like living in Tarbena? Shopping, eating out, transport, activities, enjoying the countryside, cycling, etc. etc???

Just joined this forum,so hello everyone.    Me and a family member are thinking about buying a place in Tarbena    is it a safe place to have a holiday home and what's it like for walks,cycling and general hobbies.   Is it a quite place ,and is there much going on at night is. Restaurants and entertainment.         All options appreciated.  Thanks

Dear all.

Fairly new here so not yet up to speed where to go for building materials. We live in the Tarbena area. I'm looking for a store for decking (terrace), tongue and groove timber and corregated iron or other roofing material.

Any place where used building materials ( scaffolding for instance) are sold are welcome as well.

In search of scaffolding: either one system with a working height of 8 meter. Or an addition to the system I already have. So any scaffolding for sale might be interesting. Viewing and collection on short notice possible and wanted.
