hiring a concrete mixer - Old Chat forum

Whatsapp

Hi once again folks.

My latest quest is for a rental concrete mixer. I live on the urbanisation at La Marina so a local hire company would be helpful.

If anyone knows where I can get such an animal please let me know....if possible some idea of cost would be great.

Thanks

Colin

Hi Colin

When I did some building work a couple of years back, I was in the same situation that you are now. When I enquired about hiring a mixer, the prices I was quoted meant that it was cheaper to buy a mixer and then sell it on second-hand at the end of the job.

Brico Depot in Crevillente was the cheapest place to buy mixers. They do several different sizes.

Geoff.

Pop in to the laundrette, Rays laundrette at the top of the strip near Super Valu. He hires out cement mixers at a cheap rate

Thanks for the advice Geoff & Andi. When I moved from Almeria I sold my mixer, didn't think I'd need it again...how wrong you can be!

As I will only be using the mixer for about a week I think I will opt for the hire option and give Ray's Laundrette a go.

Thanks again

I know things could be different in Spain, but I have many times worked out that is a very similar price to have it delivered I bulk, also it saves time % not inconsiderable effort.
Its also possible to ask for a retard agent added to keep it from going off two quick.

I wanted the mixer to mix up screed not actually concrete....(I am assuming your are referring to concrete delivery). Not only that but as I suffer from Rheumatoid Arthritis I have to take things slowly so a mixer on hire would allow me to stop when I need to instead of that one massive effort to get the stuff in and levelled all in one go!

Thanks for the thought though, appreciated.

Colin

Ok... If anyone is wanting to hire a concrete mixer, go to the laundrette and Speak to Ray. 5 euros a day to hire out. He will deliver and pick up. I don't think you can beat that price
