Hi Aitch, Perhaps as you are much younger than myself(I grew up during the war) we saw things differently during the 1970´s.And I was born & grew up in a big prosperous Naval Port on the south coast where people, myself included, were all Tory supporters. But we should all be able to see things that we feel are not right & not go blindly on.I served in the RAF for several years which,as we mix with a whole range of personalities, does open our eyes to so much more than our own little"bubble".I have operated my own business for the best part of my adult life both in UK & here, have lived in both Scotland & England too.My preference for Scottish life is because I believe they are more open to change. At this moment you can see the ever growing separation there is in England between the North & South, always has been, but getting ever worse I think. The Spanish town that I live in is very multi-cultural,the British stick more often to Benidorm or up the coast in Moraira area ,so maybe I have grown into not thinking "English" anymore. Those, like myself, are so angry at being denied a vote just because we have lived here a set number of years. And this was a Tory decision, later told it would be debated, then told"sorry no time for this".And of course this meant that thousands of Brits.throughout Europe had absolutely no say in the Referendum.I´ll take my chances in Scotland. If you believe that they won´t survive as an independent country, you obviously do not appreciate the steely nature of the Scottish character.
