Is my state pension taxable

With the Spanish Tax allowance only fixed at £5500 per year, will I be taxed on my UK state pension when I get my recidency?

Yes but roughly speaking you will only start to pay tax when your income exceeds around €10,000

But if the thresh hold is 5500 Euros how is this so? The Spanish tax man is aware of your income because HMRC share info with europe.
