A few years ago, one of her cats got into our downstairs bedroom. Unaware that a cat was inside, my husband closed the sliding window over as he walked by. The following day, we heard a racket coming from somewhere but thought it was next door. The woman who feeds all these cats must have been aware that one was missing so she clearly opened our window and freed him. At some stage I opened the bedroom door and was totally horrified with the sight that met me. The beds were destroyed, covered in urine and faeces along with black cat hair. The rugs were ruined too and the smell was horrendous. I was left badly out of pocket. I went to the woman’s house on a couple of occasions But she didn’t open the door. There you have it, the result of a cat lover and that’s only my unfortunate experience. Cats have no loyalty or indeed respect for people’s property.
As a family,we had a cat for 15 years and loved him dearly. I’m not a cat hater but people don’t want stray cats pooing and causing damage to their property.
I’ve watched families at the pool recoil when their child walks in cat poo or gets their hands covered in it. It’s quite disgusting and grossly unfair to unsuspecting families. yes, cats need to be fed but they shouldn’t be permitted to defecate all over the communal grounds.
