Eddie

did you ever get your tourist licence, I have tried but been told that Algorfa are not issuing any due to wording in the urbanisation plan.

hitting a brick wall trying to get any information on the subject and feel fed up as I paid out good money to be told "sorry they are not issuing, contact us in a year and we can update if Algorfa resolve the issue".

Anyone else having such problems in Algorfa

Hopefully your right and they have corrected the land problem. I suppose they will be held up further by the flooding.

It's such a long process I'm now over a year of trying.

Well good luck hope it comes through soon I shall start chasing see if I can a response

Thanks

Think you might be in the wrong place.  This is just people posting about their experiences getting or not getting tourist licences.   😊

We went to the town hall in Algorfa in September to apply for a licence and were told not to bother as they are not issuing any don’t know where to go from here.

Hi Annemarie

I assume you mean you went to apply for the Certificate of Compatibility that you need for your application for the Tourist License.  (Only the former is issued by town halls.)  If a town hall decides it does not want tourist rentals in your particular area and wont issue the Certificate then unfortunately you cannot get a license.  You can still rent your property for seasonal or mid-term rentals, but not for holidays of 1-4 weeks.  Have a word with you legal/fiscal rep about the possibility of doing that.

 Annemarie

There may be some  news In  January, I was told that certain community's will be havi g the usage of the land changed to allow the certificate  of compatability to be issued.

What urbanisation are you on
