When trying to sell our house iwas making enquiries with agent to assess there fees etc . And on occasion was told there is no IVA if I did not want a factura.

I wonder if the tax office would like there details.

Well summed up Bev. Could not agree more. Your suggestions were well thought out, presented in an easy to follow fashion, were very relevant and posted with the view of assisting a fellow member of this forum.

I don't normally comment on a fellow member, however, I can't help thinking that Pacoboy, has become very grumpy recently. Which is a shame really, as he has posted numerous helpful posts.

Like everything in life, there are good tradesmen and bad tradesmen, one only need to watch the numerous BBC consumer programmes to appreciate this.

I also agree that there are honourable agents on the Costa Blanca who do a good job.

I am not grumpy just trying to find a estate agent that won't rip me off I appointed a agent only to have calls from so called sub agents ,I stick to what I know they are rogues playing on people who for what ever reason need to sell a property that in some cases they are stuck with. I sued a agent many years ago on bev little regulators the owner of the agent was done for fraud ,

I know what I am talking about.

Well as usual Pacoboy you have dismissed helpful information given you in good faith.  (I've seen you do this to others on the forum too.)   You say 'not the same class as the UK' but if you had bothered to check out the AIPP then you will know that it is UK based, and  "AIPP ...

...Business Members are also subscribed to the independent and specialist The Property Ombudsman service. Members of the public can, at no cost to themselves, make a complaint about an AIPP Business Member which, if upheld by The Property Ombudsman, could lead to an award of compensation being made to the complainant of up to £25,000 – such an award being payable by the AIPP member."  It is the international equivalent of the NAEA.  So if that doesn't given you assurance nothing will.  Some people just can't be helped.

As you seem so mistrustful of professionals I suggest you advertise privately (and why not do all the conveyancing too yourself?)

Fine 25000 well that's 5 houses I am sure that will deter them .
