You’re welcome, let me know if you find anywhere new worth a visit. I agree, Tossa is very pretty.

Cartagena looks lovely , we're looking at going there in the summer for the day after kazG recommended it ! What's the roads like going there ? And the parking ?

You can get there on the motorway I think and we parked up just on the outskirts of the city. Well worth a visit. Hope you enjoy it. Dave’s Coaches does a trip most weeks too that incorporates a train ride to Mar Menor which looks like good value.

Both Orihuela and Elche have some lovely very old buildings, with lots of cobbled streets.  Elche is noted for its palm park.

Have you been to Elche? Its a revelation. Tapas bars and eateries around every corner and up every alley and best of all totally Spanish and feels Spanish. Not a British voice anywhere and none of that ‘British Supermarket’, ‘British Pub’ ‘Full English breakfast’  nonsense anywhere. Its a great little City which has a lot of the old and new to offer. Also it feels like you could visit it a lot and still always discover something new on a subsequent visit.

We love it.

That certainly sounds worth a visit, will add that to the list. Many thanks
