Has anyone had recent experience of applying for residency In the Algorfa area? I’m trying to find out what the financial requirements are currently. Is it €9000 per month for three months or would having €9000 In the bank account suffice and avoid the need to show three months statements? Also please can someone recommend a good gestor In the area?
many thanks

Bridget

Hi, you may want to look into Jim's guides concerning residency/TIE application (you can see on top of the page) which fully explains all requirements and procedure.

Hope this helps.

Thank you - I’ve done that but still looking to see if anyone has very recent experience as to financial requirements as it seems to have changed - also I’m looking for recommendations for a good gestor in or around the Algorfa area

Hi there hope all is well I had the same question and I have been advised to keep the €9000 in the bank the full 3 months whilst applying for full residency, and once that happens it can be take out, I use Pellicer and Heredia in Ciudad Quesada, they know Spanish and English law and they speak English too, Jo and Ignacio there are extremely helpful

We obtained our residency in January. As a couple we had to have €14,000 in our Spanish bank account plus €1,000 at least monthly income. We are retired. I don’t know whether there have been any changes since then.

Many thanks Justyna - my husband cannot join me yet but I’ve since found out that as we have a joint account, there will need to be a €12000 deposit left untouched for three months before I can apply

Thanks Missellie

we are putting over and above what’s needed - it’s a joint account but just me applying currently as my husband can’t for another couple of years. It makes me quite nervous that I’ll be there on my own for a while. Our original plans were to move there when retired but that’s four years away for me and a lot more In the way of financial requirements needed after the end of the WA. At least this way one of us gets through this year - it’s quite stressful though as it’s pushed me to do it way earlier than I wanted to.
