Can you please give me information on the cheapest train fares from Barcelona to Alicante is if booking two months in advance

I'd start with RENFE:

If you're over 60, get a gold card. Costs €6 and you get a discount of up to 40%:

My son has just come from Barcelona by train. Promotional advance fares to Orihuela started around €25 single so I imagine Alicante may be a bit cheaper. Booked at renfe.com and e-ticket was delivered to his phone. Really easy.
