At long last my other half finally got on a BA flight from Heathrow on the 9th July originally booked from gatwick. They said they are not going back to Gatwick till later on in the year and that is questionable. The flight was full i was surprised as i thought they were supposed to be distancing...

... people. He was allowed cabin luggage and that was full. It took a long time for him to board to keep distance??? Not sure what that was about as the flight was full so no distancing on plane. He was given a bottle of water a biscuit and pkt of crisps. I was not happy with the full flight so put him in quarantine for 7 days as i have been here since Feb and because of my age did not want to take the risk. They did have to wear masks the whole time. Hope this is usefull info.

We were on the 0620 BA flight out of LHR. Yes it was a bit slow boarding (boarding from rows back to the front).  Once on board we had no problems with hand luggage space and the only time you are allowed to take off your mask is when you eat and drink. We flew business and so food was a breakfast box with a ham and cheese croissant a fruit pot and a strawberry mousse. Left lhr on time and all good Alicante end. Temperature checks were also done On all those passengers when going through the passport bit at Alicante

Hi

we travelled back to Bristol from Alicante yesterday with a Ryanair the flight wasn’t full and they were serving drinks and snacks, Alicante Airport very quiet, but a few coffee shops open, all in all good experience.  We flew out on 3rd July from Bristol with Easyjet plane full no trolley service, they also cancelled our return flight so we had to book with Ryanair who I normally avoid but all passengers were quiet and respectable the rabble must have stayed in UK this year👍  Back out on 29th July for 10 days found Spain excellent as usual but a lot quieter.

I flew out from Gatwick to Alicante with Easyjet yesterday evening. My previous 2 flights with them having been cancelled I was expecting the same to happen yesterday.
Flew through Gatwick airport security with no queue even though only one conveyor belt was open. Boots, Smiths , Starbucks and Duty Free were open in departure lounge.  Flight was fine , only 1/3 full . Easyjet had restarted onboard trolley service with limited range of cold items.  Everyone wore masks  (although woman behind me became hysterical and reported me to stewardess because I removed mine whilst I drank). Plane boarded by groups of rows and disembarked row by row , passengers only allowed to stand and access overhead locker when their row was leaving.  There were several Ryanair planes at Alicante but mine seemed the only Easyjet plane.  With only our passengers in Alicante airport we were through passport control and had my pre completed health form scanned within minutes. No temperature checks.  There were several tables with health forms for those who hadn’t already filled one in.  All in all everything was fine.

Hi,

we travelled to Alicante today (14th July) from Luton Airport. Flew with Ryanair, left Luton a little late but arrived at Alicante 15 minutes early. Extra passport/security check at Luton airport but no delay. Places open for coffee, meal deals, etc , plus limited duty free, busy but not crowded (by Luton standards). We felt comfortable with the environment as just about everyone was following the rules re masks and social distancing..  Plane was full. every seat taken. Everyone wore masks on the flight though social distancing was not really possible on a full plane.

No problems with passport control at Alicante (automated). We had completed the Spanish Health forms online and had the QR page on our mobiles, no issues with the checks at the airport. Plenty of helpful staff available for people who had not completed the forms beforehand.

Everyone in Alicante airport wearing masks plus plain clothes staff making sure people were wearing them. We picked up our car as normal, delivered to the airport by Plane Parking, and back in our home at Los Dolses in one hour including a stop some essentials (milk, bread, beer, wine!).

Felt a bit surreal driving from the airport to Los Dolses, we have had 3 trips cancelled previously so expected this one to be stopped at the last minute as well. Arrived to cloud and rain at Alicante airport but not bothered one bit!

Rgds,

Aitch.

We have made it into France today. Arrived in Chateauroux. The manager is wearing a mask. The other guests are wearing masks in confined spaces but not once onto the terrace or around the pool. We are going to have a meal on the terrace tonight as open air. Next stop Carcassonne tomorrow.

Also nobody wanted to see our signed declarations supposedly required when entering France.

I recently posted about my travel experience on Monday 22nd June. I travelled from Manchester Airport to Alicante and noted what I thought were important elements of the trip for others to consider and be aware of. This was my experience of just UK one airport, airline and travel date of course, ...

...and I believe conditions will change for both the better and worse.

I see there are a number of older posts still circulating, relating to quarantine requirements and questions about flights going ahead, so may I request that if you recently travelled then would you please take a moment to post about what your journey was like.

I think what will be most helpful to note would be:

Departure airport. Airline. Departure time. Process times in the UK airport (Check in, security, boarding etc). Hand luggage restrictions (if any) Available facilities in the airport. Onboard experience and facilities. Process time in Alicante Airport.

Finally any other notable events that you feel would help fellow travellers.

Similarly, if anyone happens to travel back to the UK, perhaps

Thank you in advance

Im traveling to the UK from Alicante and I'm quite anxious about it all as I'm travelling alone. I wouldnt have travelled at all if it wasn't necessary. Do I need to do anything, fill forms in or anything when I get to the airport? Thank you

To save the good forum members posting it all again, I suggest you look back over this post as there is ample information about the requirements.
