Having read and replied to many posts about car hire in the region I finally pulled my finger out and finished off my guide, which I started many months ago! It is not a complete Wiki on car hire, it is a guide.
I am happy to receive feedback (it is my first effort so please avoid being too brutal!!)
INTRODUCTION
As a regular user of car hire companies, all over the world, I never believe I have ‘seen it all’ or even ‘know it all’ but I do think I have a wealth of knowledge and lots of bad experiences which I have chosen to put in to a guide in order to help others. I trust you find the guide useful.
I will also begin by saying that there are lots of good and bad hire companies out there and this guide is not aimed at being a name and shame opportunity. People will have had good and bad experiences of their own with most of the providers, so I would urge you to check out reviews left on TripAdvisor and other comparison sites, as well as posting for suggestions and guidance in this forum.
This guide will not go into legislation and road safety law, I will take it that you will familiarise yourself with all the necessary rules of the road for the area you intend to visit.
