I am new to the forum.

Please let me know if I have to get to gatwick airport earlier than usual for a covid test I am flying to Alicante on Wed 22nd 12.20 pm, I have proof of 2 covid jabs.

I have seen that I need the Spanish Qr code (which is in the pipeline for monday about 1pm), I will be staying with friends nr Campello.for  2 weeks, Also what is the procedure for flying back?

I do hope that someone can shed some light on all of this , this is the first time that I hae flown to spain for over 2 years

Requirements as follows:

U.K. to Spain

Double jab certificate  and passenger locator form

https://www.spth.gob.es/

Spain to U.K.

Double Jab cert

Fit to fly antigen test and certificate to be taken 3 days before you go back to U.K.

You need to book a Day 2 PCR test, to be taken within 2 days of returning to the U.K. The booking reference is required for your passenger locator form to get you back to the U.K.

https://www.gov.uk/provide-journey-contact-details-before-travel-uk

Your airline will tell you how long you need to be at the airport before your flight, but I would go earlier than usual because there’s so much paperwork to check.

Rules are liable to change very soon, but information correct at the time of posting.

Hi sorry to be a pain but my flight leaves a 12.20  I planned to get there by train 10.30 should I be there earlier than that.

I have the train ticket but can always go down to the station and change it, thanks

Hi Just been onto the Easyjet site and it said that it will NOT be neccessary to have a covid test prior to travel, that the 2 jab proof will be enough although I will get the QR code, thank you for you help although everything seems a bit of a minefield! XX

Yes, if you read my post above that’s exactly what I’ve put. You  do not need a test prior to travel to Spain, just your Covid cert and SpTH form. It will be easier and quicker if you can print out your Covid certificate and your locator form.

The EasyJet gates are a 15 minute walk after security  in Gatwick North, so personally I don’t think you are leaving yourself very much time, but if you don’t have to check in any luggage  into the holdyou  could just make it. But you’re taking a risk that there are no queues anywhere.
Boarding is also called earlier nowadays, because of the enhanced checks at the gates.

If you are returning to Gatwick after 4th October you will not be required to take a pre departure test in Spain.
