If anyone does this trip, I'd be interested to talk about paying to get some items brought over from Dublin at some point. No rush, or time specific, as reside here full-time but still visit Ireland regularly and be great to get some heavier or bulkier items brought over ocassionally. Obviously if anyone has a commercial transport recommendation, be great to hear about that too. Thanks.

Hey, sorry, missed this. Thanks for info.  You'd be better starting a new post with those questions as you'll get loads of great answers. I've not sold up in Dublin so can't help there but this summer was a bit of a shock, relentless heat wise and I'd definitely be looking to spend some of July and August in Ireland in future. Re health, we got private health insurance for first year, to get residency. Cheaper than Irish health insurance, covers GP visits and all consultants etc and no excess payments! Looking to pay into public health system from this year, which mostly gets good reports. Hope helpful.
