Hi Folks.

I looking for some feedback please.

I’m considering renting an apartment in Arenales de sol from October until March.

I wanted to ask what the area is like and are there many expats living there.

Any info would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Deek

Don't forget that for this length of stay you are required to register with the authorities.

Hi Deek

I live near Arenales del Sol . I can tell you that it is a very Spanish resort, although you will hear a few other nationalities. There is no ‘expat’ community (British) so it depends what you want to do over the winter . If you enjoy walking & cycling and peace and quiet then it could be suitable . It is very quiet in the winter with only a handful of bars/restaurants open.  You would have a beautiful beach on your doorstep to enjoy .

If you enjoy English speaking company and more facilities eg shops/ bars/ restaurants / gym etc then consider Gran Alacant or Santa Pola .

All 3 places mentioned in this post are served by the No3 bus Alicante - Santa Pola. Also, they are 10-20 minutes from Alicante airport .

Hope this helps 😀
