I think it can be something other than property ??  ...like a government scheme/project  or such but property is the most straightforward.
there’s information available online ( just google it).  There are restrictions about how long you have to keep that investment in place.

Thanks Ray, thought it might be something like that! I am struggling to get here post Brexit, although I have to wait for my pension in 2 years! However if my current girlfriend still wants to come perhaps it will be easier the two of us, I’m assuming the new requirement of 2400 Euros would not be times two for both of us but would be based on a lesser fee per household? Don’t know if you can help me there Ray

It's 4 x IPREM for the first person, and 1 x IPREM for a family member.

If you're not married, then it would be 4 x IPREM for each of you.

Thank you Ray and Jim.

I obtained Irish passport through parents , is the information detailed still applicable?

So a lower monthly income required 800€ each ? Home owners already . NIE in place

As we are not retired  (still will have 3 years to go) would we still be required to purchase annual healthcare for a year then buy into Spanish?

Kind regards

Mary

Your passport will in Spain be accepted as proof of both identity and nationality.

You will need PHI.

There have been recent comments that €900 a month or a bank balance of €7000 is required.

I assume you've already seen it but, if not:
