Hi David

25th Jan would be the last day if you arrived on 25th October and stayed in Spain/EU, as the 90th day would be 25th Jan, however you can spread these 90 days across a 180 day period. You stated that you left Spain (I presume the EU as a whole) at the end of November, if, for example you left on 30th November you would now have used 6 in October + 30 in November = 36 in total, meaning you still have a balance on 54!

Try using the app and putting the exact dates you entered and left in Oct/Nov, and then put in planned dates for 2022 - you will find that it is more generous than first thought!

David,

Steven is correct. On the calculator use the orange plus sign to add new dates from now and you'll see that you've got plenty days left out out of your 90.

I made the same assumption that you did, but we were both wrong. Your fine to come out for some good weather!

Hi David,

Steve's correct - the reason for this is the complete wording of the Schengen rule is "90 days in a ROLLING 180 days".  For example, assume you want to come back to Spain for 2 weeks on 15 to 30 May.  If you count 180 days backwards from 30 May, you'll see that your October and November 2021 dates have 'dropped off' - but until you get used to it, much safer to use the calculator! 😂

Kind regards,

Kim
