Apply on D1 form, and they say you should receive your new licence within 6 weeks.

the OP did not say she was told by anyone on this site that she needed to take a test. None of the posters on this link subsequently told her she needed to take a test, in fact the opposite. I think enough has been said about this initial enquiry now. It's been established that no driving test is required in the UK for exchanging a Spanish driving licence for a UK one.
