Hi. I am on a contract with Iberdola which charges me over €30 per month even when I am not using any power. As I only spend a few weeks in Spain each year this proves very expensive. Are there cheaper options??? Is Iberdola my only provider and would there be more suitable contracts?

There are other companies but I couldn’t comment on whether there are savings to be made. A large part of your bill is the standing charge based on your contracted power consumption. I realised that I was on a higher contract than I needed to be so reduced my contract. A reduction of 1kw will reduce your bill by about €6 per month.
