We purchased our house in 2005 and have the original certificate, but after BREXIT and the rules imposed we decided to sell the house, both the housing agent and the solicitor told us we would need a new one as they are only valid for ten years.
We have also been told the same if you want to have the water or electric reconnected, as we were considering having both disconnected to save standing fees for both. As we are now only being allowed in the EU for 90 days in with 120 day gap between we thought it would save money.
