Is it possible that someone could have stolen your water. Have you got any outside taps?

Try putting NIE in differently (remove the hyphon - ).

I couldn't get them to change but think my solicitor should have checked previous readings as you cannot steal that amount of water unless you are filling a large pool next door as a water tanker would take ages to fill.

Check meter readings 3 days apart to help indicate whether you have a leak underground etc.

Contact your house insurance company, you are usually covered for 1000€  and they will liaise between the water company and plumbers

The water company though have been quite efficient of late and as soon as unexpected usage shows up, they will try and contact you.
