Sharon,

We are building a house in aspe, spain.

Plan was to have it finished oct this year, not certain now due to the corona virus. Maybe we can have some small jobs for you, let me now if you are interested.

We are from Belgium, love the town and the area. We found there are lots of expats living in Aspe.

Maybe we can meet soon.

Hi HermanVD

Thank you very much for your reply!

I hope you are doing ok in this awful time.

Sadly we have also had to put our plans on hold but as soon as this is over we will be moving over!!

We would be very interested in some work that would be wonderful!!

My husband has a Painting/Decorating business and will be continuing this when we move, so perhaps you would find him useful!

Please keep in contact so we can see how things are going after this lockdown is over.

Stay safe

Hi Tonyscott,

Thank you for you reply.

It sounds wonderful just the lifestyle we are craving!! Sadly we have had to put plans on hold for now but as soon as this is over we will be full steam going ahead!!

Would you know if there are many painter decorators around the area? As my husband has his own painting/decorating business which he wants to continue over there!

We realise that we will be taking a major pay cut but we are more coming for the relaxed lifestyle.

We really can’t wait to get there!! Hopefully it happens soon 🙏

Take care keep safe

I would suggest that in the meantime you keep an eye on some helpful sites as follows in order to be more knowledgeable about the rules and regulations over here.

Jim's Guides on this site.

Citizens Advice Bureau Spain for general items.

N332 for anything to do with driving in Spain.   Run in collaboration with officers of the Guardia Civil for English speaking people.  In these troubled times they have slightly diversified and also at present tend to keep us up to date with the new legislation.

La Moncloa site - the government site dealing with new legislation.
