Hello all,  I am going to sound like a complete idiot but how do you know if post gets delivered to your home in Aspe ?

We have bought a property but there isn't any signs of a post box or a communal post boxes column in the road ?

Do we need to ask the post office because I am not sure where our post is going ?

any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated....thank you :)

If your property is on an Urbanisation ask your neighbours or Community President as there is usually a Community set of Post Boxes.

If your property is a single unit you could ask as your local Correos Office.

thank you we will go to the post office - I am guessing we will need to take some 'paperwork' and security (ID) info with us - its only taken us 2 weeks to realise we weren't getting any post ..LOL - oh well - thanks again

Take something with your address on it and your passports.

Undelivered mail is held at the local Correos Office for fifteen days before being sent to Madrid for processing, either return to sender or destruction. If it is like my area they will have a bundle for each street which they will check through once you have confirmed your identity with your passports.

One other thing is that both Iberdrola for your electric and Hidraqua for water have excellent websites that you can register to use in English, they then have a Virtual Office to monitor your bills, consumption etc and go paperless for bills and set up Direct Debits if your Solicitor has not done so already when you were purchasing your property. This means you can keep on top of things even when not in Spain and not worry about missing them in the post.
