According to "Our World Data" Spain has fully vaccinated 44.7% of the population.

If you have a look at the screenshot attached you'll see that according to them the UK has vaccinated 52.2% of the total population. (I appreciate the population sizes differ)

However I thought I heard Sajid Javid say yesterday that the UK are up around 70% fully vaccinated.

Does anyone have any other useful information on this? Or is it correct that Spain is quietly and quickly achieving a good degree of success with this?

Using the BBC report it's possible the stats in my post could be correct then.

"So far, almost 45.7 million people have had a first vaccine dose - about 87% of the adult population - and more than 34 million have had a second"

I think it’s difficult to compare because the U.K. give out figures based on percentages of the whole population and the adult population

Spain on the other hand gives their figures on entire population and the population over the age of 12.

But I for one agree Spain are doing a fabulous job with their vaccination schedule.

As we only have a three week difference between jabs ( with the exception of AZ) as opposed to th U.K. 12 week rollout   we were always going to catch up.

Lynn.

I read yesterday in U.K. there are 66.7% double jabbed and 87.4% single jabbed.
