Hi, we have just bought a house in Benichembla for holidays and eventually retirement.  We hope to be there for the entire summer this year, and although we have found restaurants, bars and local shops, we are struggling to find a few others things that we may need.  Can anyone please recommend where the nearest of these are:

gym with fitness classes (especially yoga/pilates) - don't mind travelling 10 miles or so; nearest municipal pool; hair/nail salons; nearest beach; recommended furniture, garden and household stores; garage for service/repairs; vet for our dog that will be coming with us.

Any other advice would be greatly appreciated also.

Thanks,

Ally

Hi Ally

We also have a house in Benigembla but are new to the area. I'm not sure where the vet is as yet. Coming from Parcent the hair salon is at the beginning of the town houses back fro the road on the left as you approach the roundabout. There is a pharmacy, butcher, grocery store and bakery in the village which you probably know about. The fish man comes twice a week in his van and he apparently stops near Bar Gata on Thursdays and hoots his horn.

You have to go to Jalon or Orba for the nearest supermarket, hardware,  furniture and clothes shops.

I hope this is of some help to you

Teresa
