Really tough. 5e an hour if you're not fluent in Spanish.
Going in low season when there are few jobs. Any jobs get dozens of applicants.
Working legally for 5e an hour will not earn you enough to pay your rent and cover your private healthcare insurance
I fully agree with the last answer from 271935. Jobs in Benidorm are extremely difficult to find as there are hundreds of young people leaving their CV's at all the bars and restaurants. Menial jobs are given to people who they know and relatives. Jobs for handyman type will require qualifications and fluent Spanish. You will probably need an NIE and private healthcare cover.
Best wait until you retire and come over and enjoy life 🙄

Take if from someone who tried it, there are no jobs. Except as above, bar, cleaning, handyman jobs for your neighbours. None of those pay enough to live on. They are ok for young people who are just out to have a good time, but for someone of 60 that could be very depressing. We were a lot younger than 60.
We had a large sum of money saved, but with paying for everything and nothing coming to replace it, it soon goes. At first it was great, getting up late, going for road trips around Spain, shopping, sitting around for long lunches, going around all the bars and pubs. Staying up late sitting outside by the pool. This was the life !!! Until it wasn't fun anymore.
But the money runs out then what.
We kept our house at home as it was paid for, our cars in the garage and when we were down to our last few dollars, we came home as we had no way to get money. Got jobs doing what we were educated/trained to do, with a reasonable salary and went back to our old life.
We still have an apartment in Alicante for vacations and have fond memories of our time in Spain and all the great people we met, but would think twice about moving there again while needing work.
There are those who get a good business going or find a decent job, but those are few and far between and they typically speak Spanish.
For those who are retired with a pension from elsewhere it is great !!
