Hi I need to know how I go about finding a kidney transplant team in Benidorm. I had my transplant 11yrs ago & now living here I need to move all my medical over.  I’ve got private medical but it doesn’t cover existing medical issues. I’m retired but to young for a pension & sip card is out of the question.  I’m on a lot of medication but obviously need a renal doctor for problems etc

Many thanks

Hello

https://www.clinicabenidorm.com/en/medical-specialties/nephrology-haemodialysis-and-holiday-dialysis-service/

I think this is a good place to start by making enquiries.

If you have had PH! for one year & are resident here in Spain, you should also look at paying into the public health insurance scheme called Convenio Especial

https://www.gov.uk/guidance/healthcare-in-spain-including-the-balearic-and-canary-islands

Scroll down to Stay up to Date & the section that applies to Convenio Especial and checkl the requirements

Hope this helps

Cheers

You could organize an initial meeting at the IMED hospital in Benidorm. Its at the back of the Flamingo hotel in the Rincon area.
