I have been with Iberty Seguros Turner incuren for around 20 years with my house insurance

And never felt so insulted and treated the way I have been over a water leak claim in my Bathroom under my bath and water Damage to the under room.

It’s taken months to finally get an offer regarding my water leak.

Damages to my property consists of a bath been smashed out of concrete to get to the problem under the bath to stop the water leak.

The under room Damage consists of ceiling and walls wet Damp plaster all fell off coving all  collapsed down to bare brick.

After 20 years with Liberty insurence and never claimed from them in all this time.

They have kindly offered me €300 for paint !!!! No repair to bathroom and No repair to under Damage Room just some paint.

I all so paid €190 for the call out emergency plumber!

How disgusting to be fobbed off with €300 and do the job myself!!!

I’m so angry.

Did you deal with this through an agent, or direct with Liberty?

We have twice claimed for water damage with Liberty, through our agent, supported by photos and information from the builder and plumber and on both occasions the claim was settled in about a week. The money was in our bank as soon as I sent proof that we had paid the builders for the repairs, which, amongst other things involved lifting much of the new floor and wall tiling and the under floor  heating.

I am surprised to hear this, and. very sorry for your situation, but do wonder if this could be the result of some miscommunications?

We had a great experience with them when we had a leak, we got our own repairers and they reimbursed us in full within a month for everything, we had to replace doors and frames as the leak happenned when we were away, also paid for all the contents damaged.

Have you spoken to your agent, maybe they can suggest a way forward if your not happy?
