I'm aware that every district has slightly different requests for applications of residency.
Has anyone done this in Benissa recently and what forms would we need. ?
I will have : deeds, NIE, passports
Do they ask for anything else and where is the office?

Hi Dave,
usually you will need a letter from your bank showing that you have sufficient funds to support yourself in Spain, but also a Health Insurance certificate that complies with Residencia requirements.
Sorry, I don't know where the police station is that handles Benissa applications - maybe ask at your town hall?

Hi Dave, NIE's can be applied only on tuesdays at Teulada's National police station (as nearest) inside town hall and prior appointment in person since this is not available by phone, timetable 9am to 1pm. You'll need to supply a completed EX-15 form (this link offers further info & downloads of this form http://www.javeamigos.com/dir_redtape/index_redtape_nie.htm)
After obtaining NIE, the nearest places to apply for residencia would be Altea (Calle San Isidro Labrador, 1) or Denia (C/ Avinguda del Marquesat, 53), again this link offers further indications and possibility to download further necessary forms http://www.javeamigos.com/dir_redtape/index_redtape_residencia.htm
