Hello. We have recently bought a finca in Benissa and are looking for plants for the garden. Can anyone recommend somewhere that is not as expensive to buy plants and trees? Or is there perhaps a forum or market for buying plants?
Thanks for your help!

Most garden centres in Spain are reasonably priced. They sell everything from seeds to trees

Hello

All markets have at least one or two plant stalls that are usually very reasonable.

You might have to look further afield for trees but check out any larger  markets in your area and ask a stall holder for their advice re tree, shrub purchases

Cheers

I have made a list of all the local garden centres in the area of La Marina, it is interesting as one goes round and compares the prices. The list is at https://spain-info.co.uk/la-marina/garden-centres/ Have fun do get back and give us your observations

Are you in Torrevieja?  Plants are pretty much the same price no matter where you go. Chinese shops, markets, garden centres but I buy most of my plants from a lady called EVA HOGAR ( hope the surname is correct). Eva has a big shop in an urbanisation not far from the beach near the salt port   We exit the N332 at the Salt depot and continue to the junction where you’ll see shops. Turn right. Continue straight until you see her garden furniture etc., on your right. Every time we arrive, I go to her and buy a load of beautiful healthy and bright coloured plants and she is definitely cheaper than anyone else. Plants are bigger.  I’ve bought beautiful plants such as evergreens as well as geraniums, hanging baskets and more. Speaks English and is a delightful young woman. I should add that we’d be driving from the La Mata side of town.

We love “Master Garden” in Benimarco, just a few minutes from Benissa where we also have a house.
