I am looking at purchasing a property in the Busot area, and surprisingly for such a small town there are a lot of properties for sale....... is this a bad sign?... Can anyone shine the light on why? Is there massive developments coming..... or am I just lucky to get a choice? Any comments please ;)

Busots bigger than it appears to be, there’s the old village and then urbanisations outside the village. I lived there about 2009 during the last recession. A lot of houses were put on the market then and still have not sold. In the village that’s a few blocks of empty new flats. On the edge of the village theres an area of new build houses for sale.

Theres no supermarket in Busot. You have to drive down the mountain for food. On the plus side there’s a petrol station.

At the moment it’s a buyers market. Lots of properties on sale all over Alicante.

Hi Alexander

I have lived in Busot for 3 years, and love living here. We still look at properties for sale out of curiosity, although we have no intention of moving.

Maybe some of the people who live here are non-residents and do not wish to become Spanish residents to stay here longer than 90 days, so have decided to sell?

But houses seem to be moving, and we have a friend who sold his house within 2 days of it being on the market recently.

There is a company called Rural coast who is very proactive, they are always asking for properties.

From experience, some online estate agents do not always update their portfolio when a property is sold. When we were looking and made enquiries, several houses were sold or under offer when we enquired but did not mention this on their web site.

There is a new estate planned on Pisnella, but don't think its that big.

No supermarket here, but 10 mins drive and you have everything that you need.

We searched from Denia down to Torrevieja and chose Busot because of its great location. The Airport is 25 mins drive, Alicante shopping 20 mins, El Campello Beach 15 minutes. Great Tram transport from El Campello to Benidorm or to Alicante.

It's very safe with a great community spirit. The Mayor is very proactive and looks out for everyone.

There are quite a few people from the UK here, along with French, Germans, Dutch and Belgians and more.

All the above and it still feels like typically Spanish village.

Good luck in finding a property, if you need any help, send me a message

Regards

John Archer

Thank you so much for the info. I need to find something near more facilities and a regular bus route... have looked on Rural Coast and yes a few look good for my budget but I am concerned if you don't have a car it maybe a little far out. The only reason I mention this it is that friends that will use it don't drive.

Thanks so much again
