Can anyone advise definitively, in Spanish law is it illegal to feed feral cats?

Why is there no cats in Madrid?

Animal care is both a legal question and a public health issue. Municipal ordinances ban feeding street animals when they cause damage or health problems. That's why some cities, such as Madrid, have developed protocols to sterilize and feed the animals according to the law.Oct 9, 2018

Many towns in Spain have systems in place for supporting local residents who feed feral cat colonies – financial assistance with buying food, and agreements with vets to set up 'trap, neuter, return' (TNR) programmes, whilst other towns simply ban feral-feeding outright and offer no support at all.

Colonies are often found in Spanish towns and cities, causing bad smells and health risks, some residents complain. Street cats: for some people they're vulnerable animals in need of protection, for others, they're pests that need to be eradicated.May 2, 2016

Hello

I'm a registered feeder  with the Councillor for Animals at Torrevieja Town Hall, to feed some of the cats close to where I live, some of these cats were born in my garden & very domesticated.

They were all part of the Trap, Neuter & Return process  earlier this year by CES cat charity who work with the town hall ,+ all  given flea prevention treatment. They now have several feeding stations nearby that are topped up twice daily & all are healthy & well.

Cheers
