Is there a driving school company that gives a lesson to drive in Spain, my husband always drives in Spain but I feel now is the time to start myself, we will be over at the beginning of September and I would like an hours lesson just to give me the confidence to drive in Spain particularly the round

Rather than go through the hassle of getting an English speaking instructor (I’m presuming that is what you are seeking) it may  be more beneficial if you drove with your husband as the instructor, in quiet roads at quiet times of the day to gain familiarity of road layouts, roundabouts etc and slowly build your confidence. Roundabouts, though appear daunting at times, are not difficult, if there are lanes on approach and you are going straight on or turning right, try to keep in the r/h lane, if turning left, use the left hand lane and indicate so that others can see your intentions. One of my main bug bears is traffic in the r/h lane deciding to turn left who will cut across traffic going straight ahead, and traffic joining from the right cutting across too, so keep an eye out at all times for vehicles who look as if they may be preparing for this.

Driving in Spain, or anywhere else on the right, will soon become second nature once you gain the confidence behind the wheel but, like everywhere else, there will be idiotic drivers who have little or no consideration for others on the road

Good luck 👍👍

Thanks so much, we find the roundabout at La Zenia a nightmare everyone just seems to do what they please, I will try on the quieter roads it’s just getting the confidence, many thanks agai

When driving around roundabouts there’s only one rule.

Expect the unexpected.

If you can train your eyes to look in four directions at the same time, you’ll be fine. The pedestrian crossings right near the roundabout exits are another hazard  you have to be aware of.

What the Spanish teach you to do at roundabouts is frankly wrong.  For them it is quite acceptable for you to be in the right hand lane and turn left. If you are turning left get in the left lane. Rant over.

Learning to drive with someone who does not work for a Spanish Driving School is not allowed.   Only official driving instructors can do the job.

Have a look at this website - N332.   It is for English speaking people and is run in collaboration with officers of the Guardia Civil who deal with anything to do with driving in Spain.   The website has an English version of the Spanish equivalent of the Highway Code on it.   The N332 Facebook page is also for English speaking people.

I think the OP is just wanting somebody to sit in and advise her on driving in Spain, I don’t think she is a learner looking for lessons
