I have a Ryanair booking for 2nd April. I received the following from Ryanair
-----------
Dear Customer,
Over the past week, the spread of the Covid-19 Virus and associated Government travel restrictions, many of which have been imposed without notice, have had a significant and negative impact on the schedules of all Ryanair Group Airlines.
Ryanair expects the result of these restrictions will be the grounding of most of its aircraft fleet across Europe over the next 7 to 10 days. Because of this we want to offer our customers as much flexibility as possible in relation to their scheduled travel plans. We are now offering you the following options in relation to your booked flight.
· You can now move your flight free of charge to a date in the future.
· The flight change fee will be waived in full.
· You will only have to pay the difference in fare.
· This flight date change will only apply to the route you have already booked.
· Please do not try to change to another date in April.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this unprecedented crisis. The safety and well-being of our people and customers is our main priority, and we are working closely with the state authorities and we will follow any travel restrictions that are imposed and will continue to comply with all WHO and EASA guidelines to combat the Covid-19 Virus.

Sit tight and wait a few hours.
If my understanding is correct, the airlines and most likely insurance companies too, have been meeting with the government today to discuss procedures for refunds etc. To me, it seems like they\'ve all been stalling over everything, until they discover what support they will be getting.
If there is no support, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see some, even household names, to go directly into bankruptcy, as many I bet can't afford to refund months and months of cancelled flights.
I'm expecting to see some sort of joined-up deal with the government, insurance companies (travel insurance) and the airlines themselves covering the cost.
I think something is going to be announced later today.
