Mosquito blinds to keep out cockroaches?
Hi, can anyone advise me? Will mosquito nets on windows also prevent cockroaches coming in?
We like to keep windows open at night but I'm more scared of cockroaches crawling in than mosquitos

Hello Mary
It will only prevent them flying in but not stop them crawling in via pipes, airvents drains & any minute openings in walls , doors, etc. Mostly I find in my house they enter via the bathroom so keeping that door shut at night contains them & the boric acid powder I lightly dust around kills them before I find them.
Cheers

Thanks Elin. So mosquito nets WILL stop them coming through the windows at least. That's good news. I didn't know cockroaches flew? I thought they just crawled.

We have mozzie blinds installed Mary.
They obviously stop any kind of insects getting in,but roaches as the last lady said, can get in anywhere there is a minute opening?
We have only had one roach in this year, prob because we live here, and spray on a daily basis.
Think we have pretty much impregnated all our walls, inside, and out.
Haven't seen any on our porch this year either, although we have found the odd leg, which we presume the ants don't find very appealing?
Good luck.

Can you please tell me where to get the boric acid powder?

Hello
I get it from the farmacia - it lasts ages as a light dusting around thebottom of the walls is enough .
Good Luck
