Finally out here but having trouble with mosquito bites! I’m sure it has been mentioned before what to buy but can’t find it on this site! Is it some sort of cologne🤷‍♀️? Your help would be much appreciated!

Do you mean Agua de Colonia? It can be found in Mercadonna & Consum, possibly other supermarkets as well. It’s  in the baby bathing section it’s really cheap. It works for me against the mozzies. I put some in a small spray bottle and give myself a good spray before I go out. It doesn’t work for my husband though. The best anti mozzie product we use was bought online in the U.K. it’s called Tabard. A South African friend told us about it. Amazon U.K. used to sell it but we got ours straight from Tabard online whilst we were in the U.K. https://www.tabarduk.com/

Buy the big bottle or get a spray.

Thanks all! 👍  I was going to recommend Avon's Skin So Soft - it's brilliant, the mozzies hate it - but since Brexit, I'm struggling to find a rep to place an order.  I'll try the alternatives suggested.

Many thanks,

Kim

Hi Kimmy I’d forgotten about the Avon one, as you say it’s brilliant if you can get hold of that is.

Curiously, being the world’s worst mosquito sufferer (I have friends bring me tubes of Anthisan from UK as it’s the only thing that helps!) I was recently bitten badly on my legs by ants which resulted in huge red welts which nothing would ease.

Resorting to my trusty iPad, I found a recommendation for neat cider vinegar. It worked like a charm, although I drew the line at my expensive French Maille variety and used a cheap Spanish version. The welts disappeared like magic - but Arthur is complaining about living with someone who smells like a pickle jar!

Best spray we have found is Selex. Works on all types of pests.
