Ideally look for something close to your solicitor. Stay the night before in the hotel sign for the house next day. Then depending if your house is furnished stay at the house 2nd night onwards

We recently booked an overnight at Aparthotel Atlas after reading good reviews about it. It was very price competitive and is not that far down the road from Cabo Roig towards Torrevieja.

It should be an easy time to find a hotel for one or two nights. We often use Trivago or similar hotel booking website and if you search for the nearest hotel to where you want to go and see the best price, you can then go direct to the hotel website and see if you can get a better price there and book directly with the hotel. As it's Feb you should get a good nightly price.

When we bought our house we decided to have a couple of days before signing to chill out and booked a local hotel. It was nice to relax as it's a busy time once you get into the property, getting it as you want it and buying all the bits and pieces you need. We brought cases with us with some fresh bed linen from the UK and other bits we thought we may need, although the Chinese Bazaars will have all the bits you need these days. If your house is furnished or part furnished you can get your solicitor to find out a list of exactly what is being left in the house. Some new owners have been disappointed to find that things they thought would be in the house weren't there and it's wise to check this before paying the final payment and before signing as afterwards there's no comeback. If you have a list you have proof.

If you get the chance and you are there a couple of days before signing you could ask your Estate agent to give you a pre-signing viewing of the property. Say you want to check if you need to buy anything before you actually move in and then see if the things they say they are leaving or you think they are leaving are still there.

Hope this helps. We have some moving in security tips on our forum for Ciudad Quesada which may be helpful. Take a look on this link:
