Providing Advance Passenger Information for Brittany Ferries

Hi - my first post (so apologies if under wrong heading and/or asking a daft question!!)

My family and I are travelling Portsmouth to Santander departing Thursday 27th Jan with Brittany Ferries ('BF').  I have tried numerous times to add the advance passenger information ('API') required but the website and link provided in BF's emails continually state 'error'.   I have also tried phoning but am forever on hold. The Live Chat does not seem to be activated either.  Has anyone else had a problem adding the API and if so, were you able to easily provide the information directly at the ferry port?  I am really worried the port will stop us travelling if we haven't provided  the information 'in advance'.   We have all other documents ready and will complete the Spanish FCS at relevant time.

Have you just tried sending an email to their customer service with relevant details in and ask for confirmation info been added to your booking as proof.?

Thanks for replying Pauline.  Yes, I've emailed (their automated response states it can take up to 10 days for a substantive response!).  I've tried the API section again today, but still no joy!   Will keep trying.  Thanks again.

Sailed with BF twice last year and didn't give any API. As far as I am aware API is not required for ferry travel only air travel.

"API (Advance Passenger Information) data is biographic information on passengers (as contained in travel documents) collected by air carriers during check-in and, complemented with travel route information, transmitted by these carriers to the border control authorities of the country of destination."

Stuck in the same situation, glitch on system not allowing me to add API can you tell me how you got on as I am very anxious about this?

Hi. Everything was fine. We arrived at Portsmouth ferry terminal in plenty of time, just in case - but it wasn't an issue. Please don't worry. Enjoy your trip - we loved the ferry journey!
