Private prescription

Depending on what it is you want you may be able to buy it over the counter at a pharmacy, empty boxes can help as can a copy of a UK prescription.

Pharmacies in and around areas where Brits abound will be the most fruitful.

Hi it needs a prescription in Spain I’m afraid as I can’t get it here it’s out of stock . 

Just Google 'doctor near me' and that should bring a plethora of results. Chose one, make an appointment, and pay for their time, take the prescription to a pharmacy and pay for the medication. Simple as that. How much it will cost you is difficult to determine.

But you will be paying for the full cost of the medication - having it prescribed by a private GP won’t make it any cheaper.

So if the medication costs 20€ for instance over the counter   You will pay the same price , plus the cost of seeing a private GP. The GP will find the Spanish equivalent of whatever drug you require and write you a prescription, which with the right information (empty box etc) the farmacia should also be able to help.

The doctor may want to do a full examination before writing a prescription,  could cost a lot of money!

I don't know where your "here" is but it is often the case that a product that is not available in another country is not available in Spain either.

I suggest that you first of all ask at the pharmacy if the product you want is available in Spain at this time. Then take it from there.

Have you tried a different pharmacy?  I left a very important medicine at home when travelling to Spain, one pharmacy said I couldn’t get it as not in stock, so tried another and they had it.  The large pharmacy in Cabo Roig, by roundabout, stocks most items.
